The story of Maxwell
Maxwell came to our clinic recently on emergency. He and his loving family were traveling from south Florida to Michigan when they stopped for the night in Bowling Green, KY. Maxwell, a 12 year old Golden Retriever, started to worry his loving owners when he started panting, retching and he became very restless.
“Maxwell drank a lot of water; not too long after began violently retching. He was clearly distressed and kept moving around (in his case, not lethargic). An important point: after 20 minutes or so the retching decreased significantly: this is when some people might tend to wait to see if their pet would be ok. He continued to be uncomfortable and was almost pacing. By the time we got him into the clinic he was obviously bloated. Very, very scary!“- Maxwell’s parents
Maxwell was quickly rushed to Greystone Pet Hospital and we began treatment. With the symptoms described above, can anyone guess as to what Maxwell was diagnosed with?
More on this lovable Golden’s story to follow….
Maxwell’s story is brought to you with full permission of his owners. We thank you for your support.
